We knew we wanted to incorporate a smocking design this year - something simple, yet timeless and brings a sense of nostalgia

Our first sample involved creating a smocking design on a plain linen, which we loved

But then we remembered our smocked printed dress from our childhood

And we were sold

We always believed in designing with our hearts, and this just felt right

When we found the one that did, our hearts just sang to us

The smocking is a timeless classic, but pairing it with a contrasting thread (and especially the butter orange) brought a contemporary touch to it

We were in love

Hearts so full

We wanted to incorporate the classic design, but made it more modest so we made sure that the top still has the classic design but a decent length (especially so that it covers the behind)

And with the current times, versatility and value for the money is much appreciated

So you can wear it as a set or even on its own

And then cases reached an all time high, and MCO 2.0 happened which left us feeling devastated, disheartened and disappointed.

But with all that uncertainty, we wanted to show that something remained a constant :

Love & your loved ones

To have a best friend is one thing, but to have a best friend in the most wonderful of sister is something entirely apart

(We might have tweaked that from a popular Netflix tv series
*cough* Bridgerton *cough*)

And it was a pleasure to have these lovely sisters:

Khadijah & Nafeesah

So with everything that has happened, it just shows us that we need to love our loved ones a little harder, be there for then (albeit virtually if so needed) and just manifest love a little kindness goes a long way, and you just might be that one bright light in someone's otherwise darker day
